Graycliff Sad News and Glad News....

Sad News:

Long time Graycliff volunteer Anita Mitchell, who has been so instrumental in Graycliff Docent training, has suffered a loss.  Her husband Donald passed away earlier this week.  Our deepest condolences to Anita, her son Todd (also a Graycliff helper) and their family at this sad time      .Obituary

Glad News:

Marion Schmidt, Co-Chair of Graycliff Docent Training, is recovering nicely from surgery.  She should be kicking up her heels in no time! Feel better soon, Marion!

Celebrities at Graycliff

Occasionally celebrities appear at Graycliff...usually unannounced, for a tour.  Last year (2011, actually) Sigourney Weaver took a tour, when she was in town scouting locations for a film.

However, we didn't get a photo or a quote.  So if you notice a celebrity on tour at Graycliff, please let the staff know...we have a camera at the ready, and will ask the famous person for a quote.

Wouldn't it be great for publicity?
